Business WebsiteTradesLead GenMobile-FirstSEO

Professional fencing installation, repairs, and maintenance across Somerset and Dorset. Built to last, finished with care.

About Precision Fencing & Gates

Precision Fencing & Gates bring years of hands-on experience to every job, delivering fencing that makes a property both safer and better looking — whether that's a garden boundary for a family home or a large commercial installation. Their work spans wooden fencing, metal railings, automated gates, security systems and ongoing maintenance, and every job gets the same level of care regardless of size.

No two properties are treated the same. Each project starts with a personal consultation, and the whole process — from first design through to the final installation — is genuinely collaborative.

The Brief

What they needed

A website that could do three things at once: show off a big portfolio of past work, build trust through their industry accreditations, and turn visitors into quote requests — across everything from residential jobs to commercial and agricultural fencing.

What We Built

We delivered a full business website with a rotating project gallery, a proper services section, and a multi-step quote form covering all nine of their service types. Behind that sits a custom admin system handling quoting, invoicing, scheduling and content — built around how a fencing business actually operates, not a generic template.

Built around how customers actually search

People looking for fencing search for specific things — "agricultural fencing," "security fencing," "garden fencing." So we built the site's structure and the quote form around that same logic, letting visitors pick exactly what they need instead of filling in a vague contact form.

Credentials front and centre

Precision Fencing's Jacksons Approved and Postsaver accreditations are surfaced early on the site, right alongside their 500+ completed projects and 10+ years in the trade. These aren't buried in a footer — they're part of the pitch from the first scroll.

A gallery that does the selling

A rotating project gallery puts finished work front and centre, so the quality of past jobs does the persuading before a visitor even reaches the contact form. Residential boundaries, commercial security fencing, custom gates and agricultural work all sit side by side.

What the public site includes:

  • Multi-step quote form

  • Rotating project gallery

  • Service categorisation

  • Accreditation badges

  • Mobile-first design

  • Local SEO structure

In practice, this means a prospective customer doesn't fill out one generic enquiry form — they select exactly which of the nine listed services they need. That gives Precision Fencing a categorised, ready-to-quote enquiry from the very first point of contact.

Behind the Scenes: A Custom Admin Panel, Not Just a CMS

The public website is really only half of what we built. Behind it sits a private admin system designed around how Precision Fencing actually runs jobs, from the first quote through to the final invoice — so the team can manage the whole business from one place instead of stitching together several different tools.

Quote Builder & Invoicing — Build a quote by clicking in the materials and labour a job needs, priced against the materials library, then turn that same quote straight into an invoice once the work's confirmed. No re-entering figures.

Job Calendar — See upcoming jobs at a glance and book new work in against real availability, rather than juggling a separate diary or spreadsheet.

Materials Library — Add, edit or remove materials used for pricing, so the quote builder always reflects current stock, suppliers and pricing.

Photo Uploads & Descriptions — Upload job photos with their own descriptions, ready to feed straight into the website's project gallery with no extra formatting.

Service Management — Add, edit or remove services — each with its own description and photo — and have it update automatically on both the homepage and the navigation menu. No code required.

Client Job Notes — Attach private notes to a specific client or job: access instructions, parking, a dog on site — anything the team needs to know before they turn up.

Role-Based User Accounts — Different account types control what each team member can see and do, so office-only information stays with office roles, and field access stays appropriately limited.

What This Means in Practice

From enquiry to invoice, in one place. A quote built in the admin panel can become the job on the calendar, then the invoice once it's done — the same record carried through the whole job, rather than retyped at every stage.

The website updates itself. Add a new service or a set of job photos in the admin panel, and that's it — the homepage, navigation and gallery all update on their own.

Nothing gets lost between jobs. Notes tied to a specific client or property travel with that job, so details like site access or a pet on the property reach whoever's turning up to do the work.

The right people see the right things. Role-based accounts mean the system can open up to more of the team over time, without opening up everything to everyone.
